SKILL DEVELOPMENT TEST CENTRE

We are one of the authorized Test centre for NCVT certification under MES/ SDI scheme in Information and Communication Technology and other relevant areas. We are the first person who arranged Trade test for AutoCAD in India.

The key features of the new frame work for skill development are:

PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY AFFILIATION

Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar was established in January 1997 for advancement of technical education & development. The University has under its affiliation 380 Engineering & Architect, Management & Hotel Management and Pharmacy colleges.

The Distance Education Program (DEP) of the Punjab Technical University was conceived The objective of the program is to impart affordable, relevant, skill-based & remunerative Technical Education to the masses of the country. Today, the University has more than 2000 Learning Centres spread across the country offering quality technical education in the fields of Information Technology and Management, Paramedical Technology, Fashion Technology, Hotel Management & Tourism, Media and Mass Communication & Journalism etc.

• PTU is a state government University established by Govt. of Punjab by a state legislative Act.
• PTU is recognized under section 2(f) of UGC act and offers programs only as per nomenclature defined by UGC.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROVIDERS ( VTP ) UNDER SKILL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE SCHEME

In pursuance of Hon’ble Union Finance Minister’s announcement in 2005-06 Budget Speech, Ministry of Labour and Employment undertook development of a new strategic framework for skill development for the school drop-outs and existing workers especially in the informal sector in close consultation with industry, micro enterprises in the informal sector, State Governments, experts and academia. This was essential considering their educational, social and economic background. The key features of the new framework for skill development are:

• Demand driven short term training courses based on Modular Employable Skills (MES) decided in consultation with Industry.
• Flexible delivery mechanism (part time, weekends, full time, onsite/ offsite)
• Different levels of programmes (Foundation level as well as skill upgradation) to meet demands of various target groups.

The training under SDI scheme was envisaged to be provided by various Vocational Training Providers (VTPs) under Central Government, State Governments, Public and Private Sector and Industrial establishments.

KITCO – ASSOCHAM CONSORTIUM CERTIFIED COURSES

KITCO has joined hands with ASSOCHAM – the Apex body of Chambers and Trade Association in India for Certification of Vocational courses. ASSOCHAM has got more than 2.5 lakh industries and commercial organizations on its rolls as members. ASSOCHAM has emerged as the fountainhead of knowledge for Indian industry, which is all set to redefine the dynamics of growth and development in the technology driven cyber age of Knowledge based Economy.
